Search Engine Placement Tips - Tease - Advice

to NetScientia Search ConceptsLet's Trade Links? NOT! - "Hi, I visited your site and really enjoyed it!" bla bla bla - If you have more than 50 links on one page, then you are pushing your web karma. Google bots now ignore most web site pages that contain more than 50 or so links because many are obvious link farms. The number could go down to 30 links or so. Link with trepidation my friends. It's crucial that your links are surfer content relevant and categorized accordingly. We get 50 to 100 link exchange requests daily. Who's prompting these folks to do that? tsk tsk. Bad idea. Stay relevant and on topic, and by all means if you're an affiliate site, don't link to other affiliate sites pushing the same content. And, if you're an affiliate site with no original content what so ever, your days are numbered.
The New CSS Style Fade - Yep. it's cool for sure, but if you are now using CSS style commands, do not include them within your actual web page source code. You don't want search engine spiders tediously wading through 100 lines of funky unreadable code before they reach and gobble up your actual content that defines your site services. Place your css style guideline commands into a separate CSS file and call them with a single line of code from within your header tags.
Key Wording Your Site Product/Services - Examine your web site from a source code point of view and ensure that your primary keywords or phrases that define your products or services will be spidered first. When search engine spider bots envelpoe your page content they read the source code just like we human bots read a book from left to right top to bottom. We know that search engines place higher relevancy on keywords and phrases which appear closer to the top left of a page so it stands to reason that if you've got a large table full of graphics appearing at the top of your source code before your primary keywords, then you can achieve higher rankings by adjusting your layout and placing a well written search engine optimized paragraph above that table full of graphics. Use the alt tag if graphics are important to your site design.
